Judi Dench is clarifying: she has appeared in eight Bond films. (In case someone was wondering.) According to Dench, her eighth appearance was via TV screen in Spectre. Who could argue?

Spectre premiered on broadcast TV in Great Britain. The broadcast pulled in approximately five million viewers, which is over two million fewer viewers than the TV debut of Skyfall.

On Talkin Toons, actor Rhys Darby (of Flight of the Conchords) provided his own silly spin on Goldfinger’s encounter with James Bond:

    On this date…

January 11: Filming on Die Another Day began, in 2002. That day, EON held a press conference, announcing the cast, with notable attention going to Bond Girl Halle Berry. Berry and Brosnan also conducted an interview on Good Morning America.

Celebrating Birthdays next week are two Goldfinger standouts:

January 8: Shirley Bassey, performer (Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, Moonraker)
January 12: Shirley Eaton, Jill Masterson (Goldfinger)
